Dena Mwana

Denise Mwanakitata Muwayi, known professionally as Dena Mwana, is a Congolese gospel singer and songwriter. Born on 27 December, 1986, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, she began singing in her church choir at a young age. She is recognized for her powerful vocals and for creating contemporary worship music primarily in French, which has earned her a dedicated following in the Francophone world. Dena Mwana has released music through her own label, Happy People Africa, and is also signed to Motown Gospel Africa, a division of Universal Music Group. Her discography includes albums such as Hosanna and Souffle. She has won multiple African Gospel Music & Media Awards and is considered a reference in French-speaking gospel music. Her music is widely available on digital streaming platforms, and she has collaborated with artists like Limoblaze and Deborah Lukalu.
