Mikki Odionka

Mikki Michael Daniel Odionka, known professionally as Mikki, is a Nigerian artist. Born in Calabar South, Cross River, he is a 27-year-old powerhouse whose musical journey began in the church choir. His dedication to music led him to pursue a degree in Music at the University of Calabar, majoring in voice. Mikki's sound is a rich blend of influences, drawing from gospel greats like Tasha Cobbs, Nathaniel Bassey, and Travis Greene, as well as international icons such as Adele, Beyoncé, and Lionel Richie, allowing him to bring emotion and authenticity to Afrobeats, gospel, and soul genres. Mikki has gained significant recognition through his participation in Nigerian Idol. He made history as the first-ever platinum ticket winner in Season 9 and returned to reach the Top 10 in Season 10. Representing the Efik, Efut, and Abakpa people, he is the only contestant from the South-South region to reach the live shows, making him a point of pride for his community. His journey has been marked by resilience, including a temporary pause in his studies to support his brother through a battle with cancer, further highlighting his character beyond his musical talent.
